One of the great phrases which I have learned in 12 Step Meetings is: "It's never too late to begin your day again".
Way back in my spiritual journey, attending church for the first time when I was 12 (you really can't count the one-off visit to church for the folk religion baptism!) and after "going forward" at a Billy Graham crusade, I started to read the Bible regularly. I used then a wonderful daily resource provided by Scripture Union. The blessing and bane of the resource was that it was dated. Often I would miss some days, many days, and then faced with the tangible sign of my weakness (the last read study) I would feel tempted to despair. Eventually I would resume the studies... I learnt then that "it was never too late to begin reading the Bible again".
This principle applies to so many things in our lives... church attendance, generous giving, seeking reconciliation and... writing posts in a blog!
Thanks be to God I now enjoy a liberated sense of "it's never too late" and so today (after a month of some sickness, overbusyness, evil distraction and Holy Week and Easter) I resume my posts. And, of course, I realize that the world has more than managed to survive without my errant and wandering musings but I've missed it!

I always enjoy, and sometime learn, from your posts. (I'm willing to take the rap for not always learning!). Glad you're posting again.
thank you, steven. alan
